while this girl was cleaning her fish tank today, i decided to research "goldfish" on wikipedia.. (i don't care what anyone says - it has some pretty accurate facts on there... at least as far as i know.)
it informed me that, "like all fish, goldfish do not like to be petted."
whew. thank you wiki for this vital reminder because that is the first thing i want to do when i see the little guy.
(oh, and to clear up some misconceptions - fish actually have a memory-span of at least three months... not two seconds like everyone says. come on - give them a little more credit!)

Another important thing to remember is if you see a tarantula you should NEVER feed it- it may be suffering from irritable bowel syndrome!!
