Happy April! I cannot believe it is already that far into the year.... it has flown by but at the same time I wish April was over and May was here! May brings many things for me: First of all, the semester will be over and no more excess stress about grades. Second, it will be "summer" and no more stupid winter storms! Third... my birthday would be here! I can't wait for that day to come because I will be 19! In my opinion, 19 sounds so much older than 18! Than again I've been saying that since I finally was in the double digits :) Haha Another fun thing going on in May is Mother's day! As most of you know, I was born on Mother's day so I feel like my mom and I had such a strong connection from day one.... I think the minute I came my mom thought to herself, "Wow! What a gorgeous baby. From this day on and now and forever this will be my favorite child because she came on my special day!" And strangely enough I still am the favorite! Thanks for sticking to your words mom!

The other thing I need to explain is my new title of "Life Your Life!" This has kind of become my moto in life because of the crazy semester it's been. I've had many ups and downs but mostly just alot of learning experiences. Even though I am only 18 I still feel like this year so far has taught me so many things about being an adult. I have learned the value of a good nights sleep which I though I would never need until I had 6 kids all running around the house! I have learned many things about responsibility and dedication: especially in my schoolwork. I've learned that making goals for my life NOW is very important because of the meaning it gives my life! I have learned the value of good friends and family and the strength they can be to me in hard times. And lastly... I've learned that life may not take me the way I plan on it going! I am still so young and have many years ahead of me but this semester I've come to the conclusion that if I don't live my life now, I will regret it in years to come! SO you may be asking yourself, "what is this girl trying to tell me? Why is she rambling on and why is she telling me all this pointless information?" If you are thinking this than stop! Because I promise you I have a point :) I've decided that instead of worryiny my life away about graduating college, who I am going to marry, who I didn't hang out with the night before, or even which way my hair is pointing when I go to school in the morning... I am going to start thinking less about myself and more about the people around me! I've decided that to live my life to the fullest I need to serve others before I think about my old self. I find that when I do those little things such as write a note for a dear friend, make cookies for the neighbor, be willing to play the piano in church, buy some ice cream and spend the night with a friend, stay home an extra couple hours just to play basketball with Christian, etc. etc. I am much happier everyday! I guess the old scripture, "When you are in the service of your fellow beings, you are only in the service of your God," rings true because I know we can all receive blessings when we are just a little more selfless in our day.
So now that I've told you my life story :) I guess I can be less of a tear jerker and more of myself!
This past week I have had two tests, a final in western swing, a whole meal I had to prepare for my mom (rough stuff I know), and the best of all: a Season's Extreme and Allred concert on Wednesday! This was the best part and since I haven't bragged about Corey yet on this blog... I think I will now! Here are some of my favorite pictures of him and his friend Devin. They are doing such a good job and actually released a cd a couple weeks ago! Go Season's Extreme! I hope you enjoy the pics and don't forget to live your life :)
1. This was at Muse Music up in Provo the night they released their first cd! It was a good show!
2. Same show! I wish I got more pictures... Sarah and I went up to this show and I had a blast up there with her :)
3. Same show again: I just had to put this one in here because I love love love this picture :) isn't his smile dreamy?! Haha
4. This was at their show up at Studio 600... I had to include one of both of us! Well there you go folks! I hope you have an amazing week and remember to look at life with an optimistic eye... ya I just made that up! Woo! Go me :) Peace out!

P.S. How in the world do you get these little comments to go by their picture? I seriously cannot for the life of me figure it out!

  1. Kait that was a great post. I really like your new title and what it means. Thanks for sharing!

  2. Thanks for letting me know. It should be fixed now.

  3. Good Post Princess. Great words, and great philosophy (wow, that was hard to spell!). PS loved the look of the post. You're growing up!

These little notes sure brighten my day :)
